Yee On Tong was founded in the late Qing Dynasty. Zhang Maosheng (張茂盛）and Cao Qingniang （曹清娘）began to take root in Medan, Sumatra, Indonesia in 1915 and established the first overseas branch to treat diseases, dispense medicines and provide medical benefits for the Chinese community. Relying on superb medical skills and ancestral ancient recipes, they cured countless people and deeply loved by the local Chinese. In 1960, they missed their hometown, so they brought their children back to China to continue practicing medicine and helping patients. Later, they moved to Hong Kong for development, and their eldest daughter, Cheung Sui Ying (張瑞英）, took over the ancestral business. After half a century, in 1995, the grandson Wong Wai Shing (王偉成) inherited the ancestral business and established Mega Good industrial Limited, registering Yee On Tong as an official trademark.
